Let's just get this out in the open-I'm a neat freak. I vacuum religiously at least once a week. Our bathrooms get a vinegar and water rub down twice a week and our countertops are scrubbed at least ten times a day. Seriously.
That's why pumpkin carving makes my heart race.
To talk me down from the ledge, Daddy lined the countertops with paper bags, we put on old clothes, turned on scary music and dug in.
Know what? It was worth the grimy fingernails and slimy countertops.
Now if I can just remember this lesson come Easter egg dying time.
